History and Archives Project
School of Public Health/School of HPER Alumni are invited to submit any artifact or item of historical importance regarding the school history (1946-2012) to be included in the official School Archives.
Please see the guidelines below to help you identify appropriate materials. These items will be reviewed by a school committee as well as the Indiana University - Office of University Archives and Records Management consideration of inclusion in the school’s archival record. Because we are limited in the amount of material we archive, we ask that you be highly selective in what you submit. We hope that you understand that we are not able to submit everything that we receive and if your submission is not included, we will return it to you provided you include a return address.
Guidelines for Archival Submissions: The following list will assist you identify materials, documents, and artifacts that are appropriate for submitting to the School History Project. Please be sure to provide descriptive information including date of event or occasion, description of event or occasion, name(s) of person(s) involved plus year of graduation with degree, and any other detail that will be helpful in archiving the item.
1. Personal files or memorabilia including noteworthy correspondence and files concerning projects, activities, and functions of particular consequence of your involvement with the Indiana University School of Public Health/School of HPER;
2. Event files or memorabilia including audio-visual materials, photos (digital or hard copy), conference proceedings, or awards related to conferences, presentations, meetings or seminars, and other events in which you were directly involved during your academic program; and
3. Other materials, documents, artifacts, or files that you believe should be represented in the historical record of the IU School of Public Health/School of HPER.
Please remember to include your descriptive information plus contact information with your submission. Please indicate if you would like your submission returned if we are unable to include it in the archival record.
