Department of Applied Health Science

Shannan StryjewskiShannan Stryjewski advises current and prospective students majoring in Health Education-Secondary Teacher Preparation, Human Development and Family Studies, Youth Development, or minoring in Gerontology, Human Development and Gerontology, Human Development and Family Studies, Human Sexuality, and Youth Development. Shannan received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University. She received a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

Angela TaylorAngela Taylor advises current and prospective students majoring in Community Health. She also advises for the following minors: Public Health (for students who are NOT earning a Community Health major), Health Studies (for students who are NOT earning a BS in Public Health Degree), the Global Health Promotion minor. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.

She earned her Master of Science degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro, NM.

Cindy MooreCindy Moore advises current and prospective students majoring or minoring in Sport Communication – Broadcast & Print tracks and Sports Marketing & Management. Cindy has been an academic advisor for 12 years with Indiana University and serves as the Coordinator of Academic Advising for the Department of Kinesiology.  Cindy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a minor in Biology and an area of concentration in Athletic Training from the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation and her Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree from the Graduate School, both through Indiana University.

Tammy NicholsTammy Nichols advises current and prospective students majoring or minoring in Athletic Training and Health Fitness Specialist. The minor is the Fitness Instruction Minor.  Tammy has been a fulltime advisor for the Department of Kinesiology for two years and previously worked for three years as a part-time advisor for the Fitness Program and the Fitness Specialist majors.  Tammy received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a major in Fitness Specialist and a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a major in Motor Learning & Control, both through the IU School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.

Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Studies

Janet DonleyJanet Donley advises current and prospective students majoring or minoring in Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Human Ecology; Public, Nonprofit, and Community Recreation; Recreational Sport Management; Recreational Therapy; and Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management.  Both RPTS advisors work with students in all five Recreation majors.    Janet earned a B.A. in English at the University of California, Los Angeles, and is ABD in English at Indiana University.
