Dr. Anita Aldrich Research Fellowship Award

The Dr. Anita Aldrich Research Fellowship Award supports research fellowships for graduate students who pursue the study of laboratory sciences and mathematics in a public health setting. The award is designed to increase opportunities for graduate students, especially for women, to study in biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, exercise physiology, motor control, motor learning, and the nutrition sciences fields.

Dr. Anita Aldrich was an author, teacher, administrators, and most importantly a leader, establishing a pattern of being the first woman to serve in many roles at Indiana University and the greater community. While her professional training was in education with an emphasis on physical education, she was passionate about advocating opportunities for women and promoting opportunities for learning.
