Angela joined the School of Public Health-Bloomington in 2015 as the Academic Advisor for Community Health in the Department of Applied Science. Before joining the SPH-B, Angela had a 10 year career in counseling psychology working with youth in a residential facility, outpatient therapy, and the acute unit at Meadows Bloomington Hospital. She also served as the founding Director of Programming at a homeless shelter for women and the founding Director of Hannah House in Bloomington. Angela found her way into public health working in community health in the areas of tobacco prevention, cessation, and policy change, as well as drug and alcohol prevention programming with youth.
In her current role, Angela advises for all majors and minors within the school. She is also the SPH-B Honors Program Assistant and teaches for the Applied Health Science department as adjunct faculty.
Service
Angela rendered service to the SPH-B through voluntary work to help initiate and establish a school-wide honors program and has served on various committees.
