About the Film:
When Everyone Swims is a powerful, award-winning documentary exploring the essential role of swimming in our lives and the urgent need to expand access to water safety education. Through conversations with athletes, water safety experts, and families, the film highlights how water literacy can build safer, healthier communities. “The film is a beautiful reminder that being able to use the water for a lifetime is an amazing thing...and is for everyone!” said William Ramos, associate professor and interim chair of the Department of Health & Wellness Design at the School of Public Health-Bloomington. Framing swimming as a life skill that should be available to all, the film’s message is clear: “Because when everyone swims, lives are saved.” View the film’s trailer.
