Jessica Staten joined the School of Public Health - Bloomington in November 2022. Before joining SPH-B, she worked at IUB for more than five years as the Director of Advising and Professional Development for the Center for Students in Transition. Jessica began her higher education career at her alma mater, Western Kentucky University, where her roles included Interim Director of Advising, Assistant Director of Supplemental Education, Assistant to the Regional Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment Initiatives, and Retention Coordinator.
In her current role, Jessica directs the advising team in the School, develops holistic advising strategies to promote student success, and provides academic and administrative leadership and support for educational enrichment initiatives.
