Internships

Bringing together classroom learning and practical experience

As a school with a strong commitment to public health practice, we believe in the importance of an internship experience for our students.

Whether you're an undergraduate, or a graduate student working on a practice-based degree, you'll have the opportunity to incorporate an internship into your academic program.

You'll gain valuable experience, bringing what you've learned in public health courses into a professional setting. You'll also make lasting career connections and discover more about yourself in the process.

THE INTERNSHIP PROCESS

Internships are a guided experience with a site supervisor and a faculty internship coordinator. These courses may be termed internships, field experiences, or practica and are facilitated within departments. The requirements of these courses are specific to your major. Our faculty internship coordinators work directly with you to ensure your internship is a valuable and enriching experience. Meet with them to discuss your goals, approve your experience, and gain access to the corresponding academic course material.
