Getting ready to graduate
You must apply to graduate. Make sure to complete your graduation application before the deadline.
Priority dates to apply: May, June, and August Graduation–October 1; December Graduation–May 1
Do you qualify to graduate with honors? The Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington standards for graduating with Honors are listed in the Academic Bulletin.
What you need to do before the commencement ceremony
If you want to partcipate in the commencement ceremony, you need to plan in advance. Visit the Office of University Events and Commencement Services and be sure to review information for the following items:
- Ordering your cap and gown
- Review the times and places you need to be on graduation day
- Assisting family and friends who are visiting with accommodations
Getting your diploma
The Office of the Registrar creates and delivers diplomas, which are typically mailed 10 to 12 weeks after your degree is conferred. You need to be sure your name appears correctly and that your mailing address is correct. Find out all about your diploma at Student Central.
School of Public Health Recognition Ceremony
The IU School of School of Public Health-Bloomington hosts a recognition ceremony to honor winter and spring graduates. The ceremony, which takes place after the Indiana University Commencement Ceremony, offers an opportunity for students to cross the stage as their name is being read. Photographers will be there to capture this part of the program.
All students who have registered to graduate with the university will receive information via email regarding the School of Public Health ceremony. You are strongly encouraged to wear your cap and gown to the school ceremony.
You must register to attend the ceremony.
