Student Experience

A place for you to thrive

As a student in the School of Public Health, your academic pursuits will be your main focus. But another crucial part of your education is your experience in activities outside the classroom.

You'll find so many ways to get involved in the life of the school—opportunities that enhance everything you learn in the classroom.

Expand your view of the world through study abroad

Our school works closely with IU's Office of Overseas Study to provide you with life-changing international experiences.

When you study abroad, you'll earn academic credit while traveling, learning, and enhancing your view of how public health can improve communities worldwide.

An eclectic town surrounded by natural beauty

If you've never been to Bloomington, you might be surprised by its exciting cultural offerings, local businesses, lively weekly farmer's market, and wide range of international restaurants.

Throughout the area, there are beautiful lands preserved by the Sycamore Land Trust, and many travel from around the region to experience Indiana's largest state park and other attractions in neighboring Brown County.
