Doctoral

Doctoral programs that inspire

Indiana University’s School of Public Health-Bloomington offers several doctoral degrees, and a wide range of doctoral minors.

Research initiatives, multidisciplinary collaboration, and groundbreaking inquiry are at the core of the SPH-B experience. Through innovative partnerships with organizations like the Center for Aging Research, the Environmental Resilience Institute, and the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI), graduate students conduct cutting-edge research with world-class faculty to address critical public health issues that affect communities everywhere.

In all our Ph.D. programs, you'll work closely with your faculty advisor to customize your studies and focus on some of the most pressing public health issues we face. For a full list of SPH-B faculty and scholarly interests, please visit our faculty directory.

Doctoral minors

We encourage our Ph.D. students to broaden their studies by adding a doctoral minor. You can choose an approved minor from a department other than your own within the School of Public Health, or work with your advisor to create an individualized minor.
