Background
Myc Wiatrowski joined the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington as Assistant Director of Advising in April 2023. Prior to joining SPH-B, he was a senior academic advisor, course coordinator, and instructor in University Division, an advising unit in the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education at IUB. Myc has served students at multiple institutions in numerous ways, including roles in academic advising, instruction, research, administration, multicultural affairs, and libraries and archives. He also has a long history of professional service, having served in leadership positions for NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advisors, the Bloomington Academic Advising Council, the Midwest Popular Culture Association, and the American Folklore Society.
In his current role, Myc serves as the academic advisor for students pursuing MPH degrees in SPH-B, provides support for academic advisors in their practices and professional development plans, and collaborates with SPH-B leadership to promote student success.
