Background
TJ Vculek recently obtained a master's at the New England Conservatory studying bassoon performance. Presently, TJ is pursuing additional studies in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Indiana University to better advocate and support the current and prospective student body.
TJ joined the School of Public Health – Bloomington in June 2023 after serving as an Admissions Assistant all throughout his collegiate years. In his current role, TJ works closely with the academic administration and departmental leadership in the development of the graduate school's student engagement and recruitment.
Aside from his administrative duties, T.J. is also a bluegrass enthusiast who plays the banjo, guitar, and mandolin. He had the privilege of premiering Blender, by Ryan Fraley, on banjo and bassoon, at Carnegie Hall in July 2017. Classically, he continues to perform with premier groups all throughout the state and country – Indianapolis Symphony, Massachusetts Opera Company, Bloomington Symphony, and Columbus Symphony.
