Ph.D. in Epidemiology

Enhance your research expertise

Our doctoral program requires a minimum of 90 graduate-level credit hours. Our core components include advanced research skills, as well as substantive topics in epidemiology. You'll also select a minor from a field of study outside of epidemiology and complete a dissertation.

You will have opportunities to participate in research activities, either independently or in collaboration with faculty members and other graduate students. We will also strongly encourage you to publish research results in professional journals and in presentations at national conferences.

Through funded student academic appointments (SAA), such as graduate assistantships, you may acquire essential skills and experience by leading research projects and teaching various health topics. A limited number of fellowships and scholarships are available to the best qualified students.
