Online Parks & Recreation

A program you can complete fully online

You will take the core courses needed to prepare you for any MPH degree, as well as specialized subjects such as the philosophy of leisure and administrative theory and management practices. You may also pursue a graduate certificate in gerontology and health, sexual and reproductive health, or safety management.

You may engage in faculty-led projects in areas such as social equity and community development, vector-borne infectious diseases, environmental awareness and protection, and community and social well-being. In your final semester, you will complete an in-depth applied practice experience in the field.

When you graduate, you will have the leadership skills necessary for a position such as municipal park superintendent, program coordinator, or extension agent. The Office of Career Services can offer you a valuable array of advice and support as you pursue your career goals.
