Dear SPH-B Faculty, Staff, and Postdoctoral Fellows:
The School of Public Health-Bloomington is pleased to announce that Omoikhefe "Efe" Oarhe joined us last week as Director of Special Projects and Executive Assistant to the Dean.
Originally from Nigeria, Efe received a Bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from Obafemi Awolowo University before attending graduate school at Western Illinois University. She most recently served as a health administrative assistant at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
"I have a master's degree in health sciences with a concentration in public health," Efe says. "The moment I stepped into the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington, it just felt right! I am passionate about health and continuous learning. I look forward to helping SPH achieve its mission and vision."
Among other duties, the Director of Special Projects and Executive Assistant to the Dean manages Dean Allison's active calendar, travel schedule, and related administrative duties. The position also leads schoolwide projects, and advises the Dean on university policies and procedures with regards to his various professional activities.
