The Body Composition Measurement Facility includes two resources for evaluating the structure of the human body, from fat to bone density to lean mass.
(1) DEXA Scan
The DEXA Scan offers an advanced, in-depth analysis of body composition that goes beyond what a simple scale can provide. Utilizing x-ray technology, this scan delivers a detailed, segmental breakdown of fat and lean mass, as well as visceral fat and bone density measurements.
This measurement tool is highly regarded for its precision and is commonly used in both clinical settings and research studies to assess overall body composition, monitor changes over time, and evaluate the risk of certain diseases or conditions.
(2) BodPod
The BodPod is another sophisticated tool for body composition analysis, using Air Displacement Plethysmography (ADP) technology to determine the ratio of fatty mass to lean mass.
This non-invasive method divides body mass into two categories: fat mass and lean mass, providing a comprehensive understanding of an individual's body composition. The BodPod is widely used in sports science, fitness assessments, and clinical evaluations to tailor personalized training and nutrition programs.
