Visiting Scholars

Program Overview

• The SPH Office of International Affairs welcomes international scholars, policy leaders, and professionals from around the world to join our academic community through the SPH International Visiting Scholar Program (SPH-IVSP). International scholars enrich the SPH School by providing a global perspective on our world-class research and teaching agendas, all while advancing their own professional goals as visiting researchers and practitioners at our school.

Eligibility and Application Process

• International scholars and practitioners interested in working with the SPH School of Public Health should contact SPH School faculty that match their research areas. Scholars must secure an SPH faculty host who will sponsor their research period at SPH prior to being admitted into the SPH-IVSP.
• Visiting scholar applications must be initiated at least six months before your planned arrival date. The J-1 visa process is time-consuming and lengthy, so it is required to start early.
