Research
My research focus is on health promotion and preventive medicine for diverse, often disadvantaged groups such as people with disabilities, immigrants, and older adults. My overarching goal is to design and implement effective therapeutic interventions for such groups. Toward this end, I have been investigating how leisure-time physical activity can contributes to their coping strategies, mental health, life satisfaction and happiness. Recently, I have been interested in investigating the efficacy of technology-based interventions for older Asian adults with dementia and people with physical disabilities.
