Scholarly Interest
Dr. Jacobs' research broadly aims to understand the cultural, biopsychosocial, and environmental drivers of disparities in substance use disparities among adolescents and young adults. Specifically, her current work focuses on examining: 1) nicotine and cannabis vaping (exclusive/ co-use) risks and outcomes among vulnerable populations; and (2) role of human capital development and social connectedness in substance use risk and outcomes.
