With this degree, you will learn to apply statistical methods, along with related data management and mining techniques, to problems in various fields, such as health sciences, medicine, and biology.
In this two-year* program, you will:
- Receive fundamental training in probability and statistical theory, regression models, and statistical software packages;
- Develop expertise in modern areas such as statistical learning, high‑dimensional models, and clinical trials;
- Engage in interdisciplinary research and collaborate effectively with scientists and practitioners; and
- Prepare for your career as a clinical scientist, public health researcher, or biostatistician, or build a strong foundation for doctoral study in public health, biostatistics, or epidemiology.
IU SPH-B is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), so you can pursue a top-quality graduate education that meets your career goals.
