Outdoor Recreation

A research-based curriculum that is unique to your interests

You will take foundational courses in outdoor recreation and select specialization courses and electives with the help of your faculty academic advisor. A capstone project—either a master's project in administration or a master's thesis—will be required in order to complete your degree.

Graduate academic appointments are available. To be considered for a graduate assistantship or associate instructorship, you must submit your records related to scholarship, experience, previous graduate work, and letters of recommendation. If you are selected, your duties may involve assisting faculty with research, teaching or assistant teaching classes, working in Campus Recreational Sports, or other special assignments.
